The low back, pelvis and legs are the most common areas of aches and pains experienced by women during pregnancy. As the pregnancy progresses and the foetus grows the centre of gravity has to shift to compensate for the additional weight putting pressure on the musculoskeletal system. Often these aches and pains are accentuated if the mother to be is still working or running around after other little ones!
As Chiropractors, our aim is to keep the pelvis balanced, ensuring that the foetus has room to grow. Our chiropractors use a series of gentle releases on the joints, muscles and ligaments surrounding the pelvis which helps to alleviate pain and discomfort.
